Ian Snow - Recycled Newspaper Packaged Handmade Coconut Soap
This beautiful handmade soap is made from natural ingredients that are locally sourced. The coconut and palm oil is farm grown, therefore helping to protect the country's natural forests, animals and eco-system. It is only a few pure essential oils that are imported because they are of a superior quality. Each soap is neatly packaged in colourful newspaper that is screen-printed with soy ink. A lovely, thoughtful and world-saving gift.
This amazing soap is made by a small company in Thailand that employs twenty-five factory workers and ten sub-contractors. Their production is honest and transparent throughout. The soap and packaging are both handmade and the main ingredients are vegetable oils, sodium hydroxide, water, essential oils, fragrance, herbs and natural colour. Staff are paid above the minimum wage, and receive extra holidays, bonuses and company trips. The company also helps to organise blood donation within their local community and financial aid towards the education of under-privileged children. They support the Red Cross & CCF foundation charities in Thailand. Every year they donate funds to a nursing home for the elderly and to an orphanage. In 2014, to show their support for the lowly paid, hardworking soldiers who defended Southern Thailand from the insurgency, they raised funds to provide them with essential personal items, and in 2011 they donated funds to help victims of the floods in Thailand
